I kinda like being able to watch the videos without opening ie but both the on demand button and the vod button go to the music videos.

The XAM Player is still in Beta stadium. As such, acces to (anime) movies is not yet included.

First of all, I just discovered XAMFM yesterday and I'm really loving it! Good job and thanks for all you do already.

A couple of bugs I've discovered in my quest to get XAM on my desktop:

I'm not sure whether the player is still under development (this thread looks a little old?) but the install file seems to be somehow incomplete: every time I load the program, and I've actually tried reinstalling twice, it tells me that there are missing images. (Seems to be trying to access files in subfolders not installed?) This doesn't seem to impact the main screen too much, although if there is a play button I can't see it or click it and therefore can't tune in through the player, but it renders other features like the "Options" tab and the miniplayer completely impossible. I haven't tried streaming video through it yet, but so far it seems to be useful primarily for checking what's currently playing without going to the site.

This is nice, because the widget version (4.0) I was able to install doesn't have this functionality. The site tells me I can upgrade to version 5.0, which seems to do a bit more, but the gadget available for download from the site does not install: when clicked, I get a prompt asking if I'd like to install, but when I try to continue, nothing happens. I'm running Windows 7, for what it's worth. I didn't have any problems downloading and installing from the Microsoft Live server, but Microsoft doesn't have version 5.0 available.

Oh, the XAM player can't be dragged to reposition it on the desktop - not vital, but would be nice. And I've yet to be able to tune in to XAMFM from the site at all, on either Chrome or Firefox.

Sorry, that seems like a lot of complaining in retrospect! I really am enjoying what you've done so far and hope XAM continues to improve.

Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate all feedback a lot.
So let me try to answer your post, point by point.

Yes, the XAM Player is still under development.
Because we've been a bit to hasty to release the xam player in open beta a lot of users of the player was having problems with the player. Those problems have caused us to withdraw the xam player from the open beta status until further notice.

As a replacement, the XAM Player mini has been developed.
This new (smaller) version of the xam player is purely dedicated in bringing XAMFM to the desktop of windows pc owners.
It has been completely built up anew, so you're unlikely to experience any of the previous errors with it.
The XAM Player also has a new feature that wasn't included in the last beta version of the XAM player. As after a lot of requests for this feature, the Player Mini can show the last few played tracks of XAMFM.
So we hope that you decide to try out the XAM Player Mini and please do let us know if you like it or not.

This problem is caused most of the time by incorrect settings in windows. In this case, incorrect settings in windows for the default program to launch the XAM Gadget.
A work around this, should be to save the gadget file to your computer first and than open the file with the windows gadget select panel.

Version 5.0 should appear on the windows live site soon though.

Do you still have this problem on our renewed website? Do you get a "save file" window popup?
If so, save the file for your choice of mediaplayer to your desktop, and set your chosen mediaplayer as the default program for that file type.

You do that by right clicking the file on your desktop and selecting "properties"
After that click on the "open with" button and browse to your choice of default mediaplayer.

After you've correctly set the default program, you should be able to listen to xamfm directly from our website.

Well, I got to say that XAm got me suprised.

Who would ever expect them to release a working program

But serieusly though, I like it.
It does exactly what is needed.
